ViaVan launches last-mile solution for rural areas

Under the banner BerlKönig BC, ViaVan has announced a new last-mile solution to get passengers to train stations in the rural areas around the German capital. Traditionally, a spokesperson for ViaVan said, these areas are underserved by fixed route services.

Passengers can pre-book rides through the BerlKönig BC mobile app up to one month in advance. The fleet includes wheelchair accessible vehicles.

Earlier this year, the BerlKönig service for central Berlin won an international mobility award.
