Hyundai partners with greenmove for carsharing in Vienna

Hyundai has delivered 15 Ioniq hybrid cars to Stadtauto, a new sustainable location-based carsharing service in Vienna, operated by Austrian mobility specialist greenmove.

Stadtauto will kick off by spring 2018, and will boast 70 cars once in full swing. Customers register online, pay a one-off registration fee and can then start driving on demand.

Via the Stadtauto app, they can check available cars and book them. From various subscription models, customers can choose the one that best suits their usage habits.

In October, Hyundai started its own pure-electric carsharing service in Amsterdam, using 100 Ioniq electrics. The Viennese project, centered on the fuel-efficient, low-emission Ioniq hybrid, is another example of the brand's commitment to clean, sustainable mobility. As charging stations are installed, the Viennese fleet will be switched from hybrids to pure-electric cars.

The Ioniq is the first car by any manufacturer with three electrified powertrains – hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric - in one body type. By 2020, Hyundai aims to launch a further 15 eco models.
