Skoda to debut folding scooter at Geneva

Skoda will debut a new folding scooter at the Geneva Motor Show, which will take place 8-18 March. The scooter prototype is a “practical and efficient” solution for first-mile and last-mile mobility, for example from the car park to the meeting location (and back again), the Czech manufacturer says.

The patented folding mechanism – 'Simply Clever', in the words of the Czech manufacturer – allows the scooter to be stored conveniently on top of the spare wheel in the trunk without subtracting from the total luggage volume.

Manufactured from aluminium alloy, the Skoda scooter weighs 5 kg and can support a weight of up to 100 kg. When folded, it's just 41 cm high and 48 cm long. It will be available for the Skoda Octavia and Skoda Superb from the second half of this year.
