Connected & shared mobility gets international testing standards

SAE International, the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, TÜV SÜD Group and Shanghai SH Intelligent Automotive and International Transportation Innovation Center (ITIC) are joining hands to establish the International Alliance for Mobility Testing and Standardization (IAMTS).

Recent and rapid innovations in on- and off-road transportation, airport ground control, infrastructure, communications, and micro-mobility has exacerbated mobility system complexity and intensified the need for reliable, predictable, and replicable testing across geographies and regulatory boundaries.

IAMTS brings together smart advanced mobility testbeds from around the globe to share, implement, and develop best practices and procedures. The association also aims to provide manufacturers and mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) companies with a comprehensive portfolio of auditable physical and virtual test environments.
