Renault to test self-driving cars on public roads in Normandy
In September 2018, Renault is set to launch a fleet of 4 autonomous Renault Zoe vehicles in the French Normandy region. The cars will be used in an area with poor public transport links and will follow three "lines", totalling a route of 10km.
The Rouen Normandy Autonomous Lab is a collaboration between the regional government, the Transdev group, Renault and the Matmut group. On top of the aforementioned Renault Zoe cars, the fleet will also consist of an i-Cristal self-driving shuttle bus developed by Transdev and Lohr.
This pilot project runs from September 2018 until December 2019.
