‘My wish? Europcar as most efficient B2B mobility provider”

After more than a decade at Groupe PSA, most recently as VP International B2B Sales Director, Cédric Douls (pictured) started the new year with a new role: Group B2B Sales Director at Europcar. Three questions, three answers. 

Why did you move to Europcar? 
“I’m delighted to join Europcar Mobility Group, especially at this time, when the Group is expanding – the latest example being the acquisition of Fox Rent in the US. Europcar Mobility Group has also repositioned itself as a mobility provider, in addition to its four strong brands: Europcar, Goldcar, Interrent, Ubeeqo. I completely subscribe to the Group’s strategy and ambition, which is to play a major role on the Mobility market, by offering an attractive alternative to vehicle ownership, with a wide range of solutions: from car rental to car sharing. Considering the Group’s assets and skills, I’m completely confident that we will succeed.”

What will your responsibilities be in your new role? 
“Overall, my responsibility is the B2B segment, whether we’re talking about Key Accounts, SMEs, Insurance and Leasing companies or Travel Management companies. My scope is worldwide; entails cars, vans and trucks; and ranges from short-term and mid-term rental to urban mobility – in other words, car sharing and B2B taxi services. Last but not least, my perimeter covers not just the relevant teams here at HQ, but also the various Country teams.” 

The year is still young. What may we wish you for 2020, professionally and personally? 
“Personally, I look forward to enjoying the company of my family and friends this year. On a professional note, my wish is to position Europcar Mobility Group as the mobility provider of reference – the most efficient mobility provider for all B2B partners and customers.”
