Waze and Allianz offer roadside assistance

Waze, the navigation app owned by Google, has set up a partnership with insurance company Allianz to offer roadside assistance to its users in most of Europe.

At the touch of a button, Waze users will be able to ask for assistance when their cars break down, day and night.

Users who only need a pair of hands will also be able to request for help from other Waze drivers from inside the app.

The offer will be available starting this summer in Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Russia and Turkey.

By the end of the year, a second series of countries will be added to the list: Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Ukraine, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.
