UTA opens in Prague
UNION TANK Eckstein (UTA) is strengthening its organisation in Central and Eastern Europe. The fuel and service card provider had already opened its own office in Romania in November last year, and following this, a new office in Prague began operations on May 1st.
Gabriel Moulènes, responsible for the development of UTA business in this region, explains the company’s strategy: “The Czech Republic is an important growth market with great potential thanks to its central location and strong industry. There were already 31,800 transport companies with more than 105,000 lorries over 3.5 tons in the Czech Republic in 2014, and more than 5,700 freight forwarders used fuel and service cards according to a Consultic study. Because our customers expect comprehensive, cross-border complete offers and services from one source, it was natural for us to enhance our supply offer in the Czech Republic,"
The UTA network includes around 52,000 stations in 40 European countries. In the Czech Republic, UTA currently has more than 1,200 acceptance points, including almost 850 petrol stations of the brands Slovnaft, OMV, Benzina and CEPRO along with many independent stations.
