Connected Fleets Conference: Who are the top speakers?

The fifth edition of the Connected Fleets Conference, which will draw the path towards connected and sustainable fleet management, is just around the corner. The mass gathering of fleet managers in Amsterdam on 28-29 March will be welcomed by several experts, including Dr Maxime Flament (left) and Agnès Van De Walle (right), who will share their experiences for achieving sustainability in a digitised fleet environment.

Agnès Van De Walle, Director of Connected Services at Arval

Ms Van De Walle joins a thought leadership presentation at 10:30am.

Ms Van De Walle has more than fifteen years of experience at BNP Paribas Group, carrying various responsibilities from remarketing group director to business unit director for used cars. For almost ten years, she has been the Director of Connected Services at Arval, driving fleet efficiency by connected services. 

Ms Van de Walle is experienced in operating large teams in large scale operations such as managing sales of used cars drawing and implementing local remarketing strategies. She also has experience in optimising logistics processes, crisis management, performance management, digital transformation processes, developing multiple commercial and marketing actions, and managing multidisciplinary teams. 

David Brazell, Channel Sales Director EMEA at Lytx

Mr Brazell presents a thought leadership at 09:30 am.

​​​​Mr Brazell has immense experience of more than twenty-five years in over twenty countries, helping businesses to achieve sustainable success.

His experience lies in the sale and operations of disruptive technologies, SaaS, cloud-based products, software solutions and professional services in the IoT, M2M, Telematics, Telecom, Utilities and Digital Marketing industries.

He also has vast experience hiring, leading and managing global teams while developing solutions for business partners in their digitization process.

Fabian Seithel, Geotab Associate VP Sales & Business Development for the Nordics, Central & Eastern Europe

Mr Seithel presents a thought leadership at 11:30am.

A veteran in the fleet industry, MR Seithel's expertise focuses on digitising fleet management, creating ROI and operational benefits from connected data and supporting fleet electrification programmes.

 

 

 

Antton Peña, Founder and Chief Product Officer of Flock

Mr Peña will share his experience on connected insurance at 10:00am.

Antton Peña's background is in engineering, design and product development, with extensive experience in the mobility and transportation industry. After working for Audi and Seat, he moved into academia to research how emerging technology could be safely integrated into society, it was there that Flock was born.

Mr Peña graduated from Imperial College and the Royal College of Art (MSc and MA Masters in Global Innovation Design) Prior to founding Flock, Antton was the co-founder of Farewill, the world’s first digital will writing platform.

 

Kostas Sakkos, Sr Commercial Services Manager, Global Procurement at Abbott

Mr Sakkos presents a best practice case study at 12:00pm.

Mr Sakkos' background is economics with more than ten years of experience. He took responsibility for procurement in different industries such as Pharmaceutical and FMCG. 

Mr Sakkos aims for constant advancement in business by implementing cost-saving strategies, improving marginal costs, category management and business analytics. His emphasis is built on Procurement M&A, category strategies, excellent interpersonal skills, stakeholder management and team building.
 

Steven Thijssen, Fleet lead at Picnic

Mr Thijssen presents a best practice case study at 12:30pm.

Mr Thijssen leads the fleet team at Picnic, overseeing a fleet of over 2,000 electric vehicles to deliver groceries across the Netherlands, Germany and France. 

To ensure sustained growth, Mr Thijssen is involved in all topics concerning the vehicles, ranging from daily maintenance and efficient use of the vehicles to technical developments on current and future vehicles. 

Sander Haken, CP Manager Travel and HR of Shell Global Solutions International

Mr Haken presents a best practice case study at 14:00pm.

Mr Sander has more than 16 years of experience in Shell, handling various responsibilities and having great experience in HR, procurement and management. 

Mr Sander managed several global operations in Shell throughout the years and was a critical member in preparing global HR contracts, procurement operations, and asset management. 

Dr Maxime Flament, Chief Technology Officer at 5GAA

Mr Flament will talk about the future of 5G and connectivity at 14:30pm.

Dr Maxime Flament will present how to harvest the technologies of the connected fleet industry. This recipe is called "the 5G," which will fuel smart cities, intelligent transport systems and the most critical industries. 

Mr Flament, who has been taking leading roles in European activities such as road safety, connected vehicles and automated driving for the last 15 years, will single out all essential facts of 5G and IoT to guide fleet managers in understanding and applying this technology. 

Jeroen Schutter, Programme Manager Shared Mobility at the City of Amsterdam

Mr Schutter will talk about how smart mobility is performed in Amsterdam at 15:30pm.

Jeroen Schutter, Programme Manager Shared Mobility at the City of Amsterdam, will talk about this digitised transformation and provide all the clues to fleet managers to adapt their fleets into smart cities by getting connected. 

Mr Schutter is experienced in many different roles in municipal work, working with city districts to program offices to make Amsterdam better. 

Matthijs Honing, Director Consultancy and Strategic Partnership Executive, Ovidrive

Mr Honing joins a panel discussion on balancing sustainability with four corporate goals at 16:00pm.

Matthijs Honing joined Ovidrive in September 2021, after leaving his position as Category Manager Global Car Lease at Shell. 

Mr Honing is has vast experience is fleet and mobility management, having worked in strategic partnerships, operations management, coaching, business-to-business sales, consultancy, procurement, HR, real rstate, digital solutions and business process development.

Mr Honing has previous fleet industry experience via executive roles at Stern Groep, Ballast Nedam, Omega Fleet Services and Jacobs Douwe Egberts.
