Third-gen Hyundai i10 says hi

A-segment cars are volume makers and the i10 is no small car for Hyundai. In fact, the Korean OEM uses “Go Big” as a baseline for the latest version of its city car – to emphasize that it might look small, but actually offers a lot more than meets the eye.

Compared to its predecessor it is 20mm wider. That’s good news for the cabin space, and so is the longer wheelbase. At 252litres, the boot is far from tiny – it’s more than what many B segment cars have to offer.

Connectivity is guaranteed by the usual smartphone mirroring features as well as a few telematics-like functions and live data services, which come at a premium.

Power comes from a petrol-powered 1-litre three-cylinder or a 1.2 four-cylinder. CO2 emissions vary between 98 and 107g/km (NEDC 2.0). A diesel is unlikely to make its appearance.

The car can be discovered at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week, which will be covered by Fleet Europe so check out our website regularly for new articles, pictures and videos.
