Sixt launches deskless car rental in Italy

Picking up a rental car can be time consuming - especially at busy airports. That is why Sixt is introducing SmartStart in Italy, enabling customers who have booked their vehicle online to pick it up without having to go to the desk first. As soon as you get off the airplane, you can go to the parking lot, where a representative will hand you the keys.

The service will first be available at Milan's Malpensa airport and at Roma Fiumicino. It will also be offered in Amsterdam, Munich and Hamburg, with other cities in Europe to follow. The service requires you to create a Sixt account and enter your credit card details, obviously.
