DriveNow welcomes 100,000th customer in Milan

BMW DriveNow Milan duomo

Less than two years after it was launched by BMW in Italy's financial and industrial capital, the counter has hit the 100,000-customer mark, Quattroruote reports. The car sharing service operates a fleet of 500 Minis and BMWs, which so far have driven over 10 million kilometres.

The most popular car seems to be the electric BMW i3. A typical Milanese DriverNow customer is between 26 and 43 years of age. On average, they drive 20 to 25 minutes per booking. The average time goes up to 40 minutes if you include the weekend deals, which enable users to employ a DriveNow vehicle for two entire days and leave the city.
