Romania operating leasing tops 62,000 units

At the end of Q1 2017, the various operating leasing companies in Romania together had more than 62,000 cars under management. That is 3% more than one quarter previously. 

In the first three months of this year, the companies acquired close to 4,300 cars and LCVs, which represents 16% of the 26,000 new light vehicle registrations for the period. In the first three months of 2016, that share was still 13.3%.

According to the Association of Operational Leasing Societies, LeasePlan is the largest vehicle lease supplier in the country, followed by Arval, ALD Automotive, Porsche Mobility and BCR Fleet Management. 

The top five companies in this sector are LeasePlan Romania, Arval Service Lease Romania, ALD Automotive, Porsche Mobility, and BCR Fleet Management, according to data centralized by the Association of Operational Leasing Societies (ASLO).

Operating leasing services, including financing and fleet management, constitute 76% of the activities of ASLO members.
