Volvo launches new car subscription service

Volvo has launched a car subscription service with the all-inclusive nature of a full service lease and the flexibility of rental.

Called Care by Volvo, the new service is available for all cars in the manufacturer’s range, and includes service, maintenance, tyres, breakdown cover, 10GB in-car WiFi and road tax, with the option to add insurance.

Available in the UK, drivers can sign up for Care by Volvo online or via their local Volvo dealership. Each contractstarts with a 30-day risk-free trial (that includes insurance), after which customers can choose to change their car or end their subscription, giving three months’ notice and incurring no cancellation fee.

Prices start at £559 a month for a Volvo XC40 T3 Momentum.

Conor Horne, the UK head of Care by Volvo, said the new product offers customers a package that is: “transparent, convenient and flexible. It is a great way for people to access the car they want, avoiding the complexities and the long-term commitments associated with traditional car ownership.”
