Marco Lessacher replaces Norbert van den Eijnden as Alphabet CEO

Marco Lessacher (on the left in the picture) will take up the position of CEO at Alphabet International on 1 July, succeeding long-standing CEO Norbert van den Eijnden.

Mr Lessacher started his career at the BMW Group in 2007 and held various CEO functions, among others at BMW Financial Services and Alphabet Germany. He was subsequently responsible as Head of International Corporate, Direct and Special Sales at the BMW Group. In 2017, he assumed responsibility for BMW Group's Financial Services business in Central and South Eastern Europe and further developed the region with its eleven markets as Chairman of the Board of BMW Austria Bank GmbH. 
 
"I'm really looking forward to this new challenge," said Lessacher. "With a strong team and a clear vision, we will set the course for a successful future."

Marco Lessacher succeeds Norbert van den Eijnden who will resign from his post as he takes up new challenges. Since 2009, Mr Van den Eijnden has successfully led Alphabet International as CEO and positioned Alphabet as a leading provider of Business Mobility in the leasing industry. Before Mr van den Eijnden had a successful executive career at De Lage Landen and Athlon Car Lease. 

Alphabet

Mr Van den Eijnden will leave his successor a company with solid business foundations. Today, Alphabet manages a portfolio of over 700,000 leased cars and light commercial vehicles of all makes. It is ranked fourth in the market worldwide.

Alphabet also includes various new mobility solutions like AlphaElectric, AlphaCity and AlphaGuide. Headquartered in Munich, it is now present in 28 countries.
