Koops appointed head of Athlon Netherlands

Marchel Koops (pictured) has been appointed Managing Director of Athlon Netherlands, effective from today. Mr Koops succeeds Jean-Pierre Vissers, who was with Athlon for 13 years, the final three as head of Athlon Netherlands.

For Mr Koops, it’s a return to form. He was head of Athlon Netherlands from 2015 to 2019. He will combine his new/old role with his current international appointments as Athlon’s Chief Commercial Officer and as a member of the company’s Management Board.

“Marchel brings in a great combination of a customer-focused mindset and a profound knowledge of the Dutch market”, commented Christian Schüler, CEO of Athlon. 

“I’m looking forward to leading the Athlon Netherlands Team again, now in combination with my international role. We are on an exciting journey together with our customers and partners to make mobility more flexible and sustainable”, said Mr Koops.
