BDO invests in Belgian mobility start-up Eurides

Consultancy and audit company BDO Belgium announced its participation in the Leuven-based start-up Eurides, a young consultancy firm that developed a software suite that helps companies and their staff integrate and combine all new mobility initiatives.

Today, many human resources managers and managing directors struggle to cope with new mobility offers such as a combination of a company car and public transport, shared cars, company bicycles, mobility allowances or cash for car. Eurides helps them setting up a valid business case around these initiatives.

On the other hand, many employees have questions regarding all new alternative corporate mobility solutions and are eager to find out how to put a mobility budget into practice. They will undoubtedly also choose a potential new employer not only based on the proposed salary but also on the way in which a potential employer has integrated alternative mobility solutions and a mobility budget in its personnel management.

A recent analysis by Eurides demonstrated that for a company with 1,000 employees, the supplementary investment required by the integration of these new mobility solutions into its policy can amount to up to 1 Full Time Equivalent. That is why Eurides has developed a software platform that allows companies to easily manage the alternatives for the traditional company car or the spending of a personalised mobility budget, in accordance with social and fiscal legislation.

BDO will not only inject funds into Eurides, but also reinforce the start-up with its expertise in the fields of process management, taxation and salary administration. Within a year, they expect to welcome 20,000 employees onto the software platform.
