Citroën launches all-electric 9-seat people carrier

Reconstituted families, communities and shuttle service providers, rejoice: PSA launches the all-electric E-SpaceTourer minibus (derived from the Jumpy/Dispatch) that can comfortably carry 8 passengers over a distance of up to 330km (WLTP) thanks to a 75Wh battery.

Interestingly, Citroën offers a choice of three body lengths (XS: 4.60m - M: 4.95m - XL: 5.30m), to meet everyone’s needs. Thanks to its height of just 1.90m, it can enter car parks easily. Access to the minibus is made easy by the hands-free sliding side doors and an opening rear window.

If you do not need 330km on a single charge, there is also a smaller battery model available (50 kWh). Regardless the battery size, the electric motor always provides 100kW (136PS) and 260Nm.

Two types of on-board chargers are available, to better adapt to customer use and recharging solutions: a 7.4 kW single-phase AC charger as standard and an optional 11 kW three-phase AC charger. DC fast charging can be done at speeds of up to 100kW, reducing the charging downtime to less than an hour.

The traction battery is guaranteed for 8 years or 160,000 km for 70% of its charging capacity (with a capacity certificate at each overhaul).The new E-SpaceTourer won’t arrive at dealerships before the year end.
