Dutch post delivers all mail electrically in one town

The Dutch postal carrier PostNL has switched to an entirely electric fleet for its mail delivery in the town of Zeist, about 60 kilometres from Amsterdam. All mail will be carried to its destination using an electric bicycle or an electric cargo bike.

At the same time as the move to electric bikes, all mail will now be delivered from one central depot instead of the previous 9 depots, which should also help in reducing the number of kilometres driven.
