SEAT Announces eScooter Concept
Car manufacturer SEAT has made good on its promise to spearhead Volkswagen Group’s micro-mobility strategy by announcing its intention to bring a fully-electric eScooter to market.
The concept will officially be presented at the Barcelona Smart City Expo World Congress on 19th November, an apt location being as Barcelona has the most motorcycles per capita in Europe.
Collaborative development
SEAT’s eScooter will be equivalent to a 125cc model motorcycle and will be available to private customers and sharing services. The product will be developed in collaboration with electric motorcycle maker Silence, based in the Catalonia capital.
SEAT’s micro-mobility strategy focuses on offering sustainable solutions for cities, which also includes the SEAT Minimó concept car and SEAT eXS Kickscooter powered by Segway, which were presented at the 2018 Smart City Expo.
