ALD exceeds private lease target
With 153,000 vehicles under private lease contract at the end of 2019, ALD has exceeded its 150,000-unit target set three years earlier.
To diversify its revenue and bolster growth, ALD in 2016 set itself a three-year target: to achieve 150,000 private lease contracts by the end of 2019.
30-40% growth
That ambitious target has been achieved, and even slightly exceeded, the company’s latest figures show.
Over the three-year period, ALD’s private-lease fleet grew by 30-40% each year. Private lease now represents 8.6% of ALD’s overall fleet. A growing selection of second-hand vehicles is also expanding the offering and currently, the vast majority of second lease contracts are with private individuals.
Employee Car Scheme
ALD now has more than 160 partnership distribution agreements with banking networks, insurance companies, car manufacturers, energy providers, retail networks and mobility platforms to market its private lease offer.
Additional channels include the Employee Car Scheme for employees of corporate clients, and a direct private lease offering in 23 markets.
The company’s online platform enables consumers to lease a car entirely online. In part because of the ease of such digital solutions, ALD expects private lease to remain a key growth driver.
