Free2Move becomes full company within PSA Group

Free2Move is no longer just PSA's mobility brand. Now enhanced with new mobility services by TravelCar, it has become a full-fledged company within the wider Group.

From now on, Free2Move will be an autonomous, unified and agile entity – a wholly-owned subsidiary within PSA Group. To mark the occasion, Free2Move launches a standalone website and a new smartphone app.

Global presence
With its HQ based in Paris, Free2Move currently has a global staff of 150 experts in tech, data, design and e-commerce. It has a presence in 170 countries – and ambitions to offer an ever fuller range of mobility services to the private and corporate markets.

The move coincides with Free2Move's latest joint venture with TravelCar, a global aggregator of parking and car rental solutions for travellers. Both companies have cooperated since Free2Move's founding in 2016.

Free2Move Rent
Their current joint venture is Free2Move Rent, a fully-digital short-term rental service offering cars from Peugeot, Citroën, DS and Opel on a single platform. The service is already available in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Luxembourg, where it serves 300,000 customers. It will be rolled out to nine more countries in 2020.

Created in 2016, Free2Move brings together various mobility services within the PSA Group, in order to meet the travel needs of both individual and corporate customers:

  • From a few minutes to a full day, via car-sharing.
  • From several days to a month, via short-term rental,
  • From a month to several years, via no-commitment subscription or long-term rental.

Connected fleets
Free2Move also provides access to EV charging stations (throughout Europe), car parking management (in 65 countries), VTC driver reservations (in 150 countries) and connected fleet management.
