New EV charging solution for fleets

New EV charging app for fleets

Fleet managers can gain detailed insights into the electric vehicle recharging behaviours of their company car and van drivers via a new service, called Dash, that launches today.

Created by Bonnet, Dash gives drivers access to more than 220,000 chargers and more than 400 charging networks in 11 countries (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and UK).

No time wasting

It also provides company drivers with real-time information, via an app, on the reliability and availability of chargers, so employees do not waste time turning up to an unusable charger.

For fleet managers, Dash provides a web-based fleet management platform that captures data of where and when drivers are charging.

Bonnet says that insights from Dash data will help fleets to save money by encouraging optimal charging behaviours, such as the time of day and speed of charging to maximise uptime or access cheaper tariffs.

Consolidated invoicing

The service also consolidates all charging costs into a single invoice for businesses.

Bonnet says the next development of Dash will integrate it with home chargers, simplifying business mileage reimbursement and reducing administration time.

Patrick Reich, CEO and co-founder of Bonnet, said: “There are already 20,000 fleet drivers using Bonnet’s services and we hope our unique offer to business customers will help managers to save time and money. In particular, the challenges posed to many drivers by sometimes sporadic or unreliable infrastructure can be overcome through Bonnet’s industry-leading technology and use of live data.”
