BNP Paribas Mobility launches charging solutions to boost EV adoption

BNP Paribas Mobility has launched two new charging solutions to simplify and accelerate EV adoption across Europe. Arval Charging Solutions is aimed at private individuals, while Leasing Solutions Charge & Lease targets corporate fleets.

The lack of convenient and affordable EV charging remains one of the main obstacles to the electrification of mobility – especially in the two places where most charging takes place: at home and in the workplace.

And that is exactly what the two solutions, launched on a European scale, aim to address. Here’s what both solutions have to offer.

Arval Charging Services

  • All-in-one package, aimed at individuals leasing an EV with Arval.
  • Hassle-free access to a home or office charging solution.
  • Offer includes installation, maintenance, and if need even removal and recycling.
  • Combines with Arval’s public charging offers, so customers can charge where they need.
  • Reimbursement for employee home charging can be arranged, adding value for corporate clients.

Leasing Solutions Charge & Lease

  • Charging infrastructure package tailored to corporate fleets, with various levels of power, infrastructure, signage, and installation support.
  • Optional extras include shade huts and energy storage.
  • Seamlessly combines with existing fleets and with Arval’s EV leasing solutions.
  • Can also be combined with Arval’s existing Public Charging Card and its SMaRT consulting approach.

This new offering, a collaboration between Arval and BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions, reflects their and BNP Paribas Mobility’s commitment to sustainability.

  • Arval aims to have 350,000 BEVs in its fleet by 2025, lowering CO2 emissions by 35% to an average of 93 g per vehicle.
  • BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions plans to finance €240 million in charging infrastructure across Europe by 2025.
  • With this offering, BNP Paribas Mobility is making the switch to EVs easier and more affordable for both individuals and corporates.

Says Alain Van Groenendael, Chairman and CEO of Arval: “This solution sustains the global increase of EVs in fleets, making available to their users convenient and more accessible charging points at home or at the office, cheaper than public charging.”

Adds Isabelle Loc, CEO of BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions: “Switching to EVs creates a massive need for charging infrastructure. A successful ecological transition will require a network of reliabl charging infrastructure.”
