Kia Niro : Sustainability in many forms
With state-of-the-art electrification powertrains, an infusion of sustainable materials, and an exceptional safety performance, the all-new Niro confirms its role as a frontrunner in alternative mobility.
The all-new Kia Niro takes its style from our ‘Opposites United’ philosophy. It’s a striking design, brimming with personality thanks to an inspiration that you can directly guide back to nature.
But the true sophistication of this compact cross-over lies in the choice of colours, materials, finishes, and more specifically, their environmentally responsible approach. For example, special water-based paint is used for the expressive colours of the coachwork, and the interior is upholstered with recycled materials and natural fibers such as eucalyptus leaves. As such, company car drivers will enjoy long-distance travel in comfortable and eco-friendly fashion.
Well-thought ergonomics make these journeys even more pleasant, thanks to a high-end digital user experience, comprising a 10.25-inch panoramic display screen that integrates the instrument cluster and the infotainment interface all in one. In addition, the Niro’s connectivity is enriched by features like a head-up display projecting navigation cues and a smartphone app that tilts the interaction with the owner to a whole new level.
Smart zero-emission mobility
At the core of the driving experience lie three highly efficient and electrified powertrains: a hybrid electric (HEV), a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and 100% electric (BEV).
These electrified models provide the best of both worlds: outstanding driving pleasure on the road and a beneficial TCO for fleets. Mated to our frugal second-generation dual-clutch transmission, the hybrid models return very low CO2 emissions, while the all-electric Niro will further reduce maintenance costs to a minimum.
Next to intelligent regenerative braking, the hybrid versions of the 1.6-liter GDI engine also feature a Green Drive Zone. This function ensures zero-emission mobility by switching to the all-electric mode in dedicated environments, such as low-emission zones, near schools and hospitals, or in areas specifically designated by the driver in the navigation system.
To shape an even more convenient and trusted experience, the all-new Kia Niro comes equipped with an extensive list of ADAS safety systems protecting your fleet assets. Amongst the novelties, Kia launches an Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA), adjusting to the governed speed limits automatically, and a Safe Exit Assist (SEA), warning if traffic is approaching from the rear whilst getting out of the car.
And that’s not all. With their key fob, owners of the all-new Kia Niro can command getting in and out of a tight parking spot from the outside. Who says you can’t be clever and ecological at the same time?
