New Jaguar E-PACE: more connected and efficient than ever
The compact performance crossover from Jaguar gains a plug-in hybrid powertrain and the company’s sophisticated Pivi Pro infotainment system. Besides even more generously equipped and refined, the new E-PACE is more connected and efficient than ever.
Subtle yet noticeable changes to the exterior design – including a new grille mesh design with diamond detailing and new all-LED headlights with ‘Double J’ Daytime Running Light signatures – enhance the E-PACE’s assertive stance and luxurious appearance.
The interior of the new E-PACE features heightened luxury, enhanced connectivity and greater refinement. Amongst the many innovations is the air ionisation system with PM2.5 filtration that captures ultrafine particles and allergens for improved air quality inside, and the ClearSight interior rear view mirror. The latter comprises a high-definition display screen for unobstructed rearward visibility.
At the heart of the new interior is the integrated 11.4-inch curved-glass HD touchscreen, which controls the new Pivi Pro infotainment system. The latest dual-sim technology with two LTE modems enable multiple functions at the same time, such as streaming media and downloading software-over-the-air (SOTA) updates, without compromising performance. This advanced SOTA connectivity also allows customers to download and install software updates without having to visit a Jaguar retailer.
A TCO champion
Another connectivity asset is the Jaguar Remote App, which enables you to pre-condition the cabin temperature, check the vehicle’s fuel level, send a destination to the vehicle or schedule charging and check the electric range in the case of the all-new PHEV model.
Indeed, the E-PACE is now available as a P300e plug-in hybrid model, combining the 200PS 1.5-litre three-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine and a 109PS (80kW) Electric Rear Axle Drive (ERAD) motor. It provides the ability to drive up to 55km in zero emissions EV mode, with combined CO2 emissions from 44g/km and fuel economy up to 2.0 l/100km (WLTP TEH combined). What makes this PHEV truly practical, is that it is capable of a 0-80 per cent charge in as little as 30 minutes thanks to its 32kW DC charging capability.
Regardless of the powertrain – from the all-new MHEV 1.5 petrol FWD or the MHEV 2.0 diesel to the 309PS PHEV 1.5 AWD – the E-PACE´s unique and premium characteristics are combined with competitive TCO numbers driven by strong residual values and lower service, maintenance and repair costs due to the 3year/100,000km Jaguar Care Service Package at no charge.
Moreover, an Autovista Group study shows that the good residual value performance of the new E-PACE is also driven by the “Advantageous equipment vs. competitors average thanks to very comprehensive standard specifications” and the “Favorable three-year standard warranty”.
