Tamas Littner (General Electric) named European Green Fleet Manager of the Year 2022
The 2022 European Green Fleet Manager of the Year is Tamas LITTNER, Fleet Operations Leader for Europe, Russia & CIS at General Electric.
This award celebrates the fleet manager within a multinational company that has proved successful regarding the emission strategy of the vehicle fleet with a focus on powertrain selection, fuel efficiency optimisation and innovation in eco-friendliness.
The jury was impressed by Mr LITTNER’s successful development of a Fleet Energy Transition programme to achieve the corporate target of carbon neutrality by 2030. He has installed a programme following which 22 countries have already switched to a green car policy, with an increase in new powertrain uptake to 48% PHEVs and 22% BEVs. The average CO2 emission of the fleet is 110 g/km today, with the ambition to go to 70 g/km in 2024. The fleet electrification programme is further supported by enhanced digital control via the introduction of telematics.
General Electric has more than 20,000 vehicles worldwide, of which more than 7,700 in Europe.
The European Green Fleet Manager of the Year award was presented by Mark HOWLETT, Head of Fleet and Remarketing at KIA Europe.
