ABN Amro switches to fully electric fleet

From 1 July, company car drivers at ABN Amro, the Dutch bank, will have to choose an electric vehicle for their next lease car. Within five years, the whole fleet should be electrified.

With this move, the bank wants to do its part in reducing CO2 emissions. In 2018, the close to 2,000 lease cars in ABN Amro’s fleet produced around 11.1 kilotons of CO2, driving 67 million kilometres.

ABN Amro also wants more staff to use public transport, shared cars or private lease EVs.
