SWARCO is UK’s charging provider of the year
SWARCO Smart Charging has been named the Charging and Re-fuelling Infrastructure Provider of the Year at the UK’s prestigious Greenfleet Awards (pictured, the winning team). The company won the same award in 2018.
The Greenfleet Awards celebrate environmental excellence in the fleet and transport sector, recognising innovation and progress from fleets and from their suppliers, like SWARCO.
One of the UK’s leading providers of EV charging infrastructure and solutions, SWARCO Smart Charging has more than 8,500 commercial charge points installed across the UK.
SWARCO won this year’s award for its ongoing commitment to help expand EV charging networks that directly benefit fleet drivers. Its successful projects in 2021 include:
- PACE, a project in Scotland that adopted innovative funding to quickly deliver charging hubs in urban and rural communities.
- The deployment of a cost-effective solution for charging and managing 32 double-decker e-buses in Manchester.
- Deploying more than 200 ultra-rapid chargers (150kW) for the Motor Fuel Group network.
- Various projects to install rapid chargers in Wales, the Northeast, Cambridge, and Kent.
2021 has also been the year that SWARCO successfully completed what is globally the largest ever EV charging network migration, taking over management of the ChargePlace Scotland network in July, which includes 2,650 charging stations.
