Record sales day for BCA
BCA sold a record-breaking 488 vehicles on a single day on 20 June. The best-selling segments during its Top Car Sale at BCA Nottingham were luxury, premium and executive cars. The sales generated proceeds of £10.5 million, with an 85% sales conversion.
In all, 1,500 bidders logged in via BCA Live Online – the highest digital bidding audience ever. For a BCA Car Top Sale. An additional 100 buyers were physically present at the auction lanes. A total of 220 BCA customers actually made a purchase.
The vehicle sold included 220 BMWs, 70 MINIs, 42 Land Rovers, 20 Mercedes-Benz and 16 Audi cars, with a sprinkling of Bentleys, Jaguars, Aston Martins, Ferraris and Maseratis.
The highest price was fetched by an 18/18 Lamborghini Urus (£191,200:€212,806). The average value was £36,000 (€40,068), with 34 selling above the £50,000 (€55,640) value.
BCA Nottingham stages a Top Car Sale very third Thursday of the month, with entries from various providers (Alphabet UK, Porsche Financial Services, Bently Financial Services, etc.) It is preceded by a large BMW sales (direct by the OEM), often featuring up to 200 BMWs and MINIs.
It has recently been reported that TDR Capital, part of the consortium that owns LeasePlan, is in talks to acquire BCA – a deal that could be worth £1.9 (€2.1) billion. BCA offered no comment on the rumours.
