VW D’Ieteren Finance launches bike-leasing

In Belgium, Volkswagen D’Ieteren Finance has launched Bike-Moby, a financial leasing solution for bicycles.

The financial arm of D’Ieteren, official importer of VW Group brands into Belgium, is replying to the growing demand by its customers for alternative mobility solutions with a level of service and assistance comparable to its corporate car solutions.

Bike-Moby actually is an extension of VW D’Ieteren Finance’s range of mobility solutions that already includes Flex-Moby (a comprehensive package for using multiple vehicles), e-Moby (split billing solution for EVs) and Olympus Mobility (an app for managing multimodal mobility).

Offering mountain bikes, city bikes, race bikes electric bikes and folding bikes from top brands only (from €1,200 plus VAT), Bike-Moby allows employers to rent bikes for employees for a three-year period. They are billed every month and have the option of buying the bike at the end of the contract.

The formula includes insurance against damages and theft, plus maintenance and assistance. Bike-Moby not only provides an alternative to the car but may also lead to fiscal advantages, depending on the user’s mobility profile.
