ALD and Lozza launch electric car sharing in Bergamo

The Lombardian city of Bergamo welcomes its first electric vehicle car sharing programme, supported by ALD Automotive and Lozza, an official Mercedes and Smart service partner. It is called Muoviti Controcorrente (Italian for move yourself against the tide) and offers 10 Renault Zoe cars positioned in 5 stations (Sentierone, Red Cross of Loreto, sports hall, Colle Aperto and Piazza Mercato del Fieno) to residents and tourists.

Interestingly, Muoviti Controcorrente users are allowed to transit through all the limited traffic zones and park for free on both the blue and yellow lines.

ALD Automotive has just recently opened a hub in Bergamo, incidentally, which is dedicated to integrated, interconnected and sustainable mobility. The electric sharing service can be managed through the Popmove app, which will also be presented as a car rental platform for corporate fleets. Dedicated staff will clean, service and recharde the EVs. As to the rates, you pay €0.20 per minute, €8 per hour, €56 per day, €112 for the weekend and €358 per week.
