LeasePlan partners with Allego for EV charge points

LeasePlan is partnering with Allego to provide its electric-vehicle (EV) customers with charge points at home and at work, accelerating the transition to zero-emission mobility.

Charging solution specialist Allego will provide personal charge points that enable load-balancing, offer automatic reimbursement and can be used for all EV types.

Charge card

LeasePlan’s EV drivers will also get a charge card that gives them access to more than 65,000 charge points across Europe, further reducing ‘range anxiety’ – one of the key factors holding back a large-scale transition to zero-emission mobility.

In a first stage, the new partnership with Allego will be rolled out across eight LeasePlan markets in Europe: Germany and France, the three Benelux countries, Sweden, Norway and Portugal.

EV Cloud

In these countries, Allego will install charge points for LeasePlan EV drivers both at home and at the office; and also handle the maintenance and management of the installations.  The drivers will have access to billing, monitoring and analytics services on Allego’s EV Cloud Services Platform.

“Through our partnership with Allego, we can now offer our customers not just electric cars but a comprehensive EV solution, making the transition to electric mobility hassle-free”, says LeasePlan CEO Tex Gunning.

“From now on, LeasePlan’s EV drivers will only need one card to experience true cross-border mobility”, adds Allego CEO Anja van Niersen.
